The University of Delhi (DU) will start its admissions process for Undergraduate Programs (UG) on the basis of the first selection list starting today October 4th. The process will be conducted online as the university has advised students against visiting the campus. The university announced its first cut-off list on October 1.
The admission process will continue until October 6 until 11:59 p.m. Depending on the schedule, interested students can register on the University Admission Portal where they have submitted their application forms.
Colleges will complete their approval for the admissions process by 5:00 p.m. on October 7. The deadline for payment of fees is October 8 until 5:00 p.m.
âWe give students enough time to apply and pay the fees. They should therefore be careful and not be in a hurry. Students should consider the situation before canceling admission. Places are limited and the thresholds are quite high, so if they are admitted to a college, they should not cancel it, âsaid Professor Rajeev Gupta, chairman of the university’s admissions committee.
According to reports, there are nearly 70,000 seats up for grabs. Eight colleges published their limits for 10 programs or courses.
During this time, according to university rules, an applicant is only allowed to choose one program at a college during the particular cutoff period. Selecting multiple programs and colleges within a particular threshold is not allowed. Also, no changes to the chosen program and college will be allowed during a particular deadline, the university said.
After completing the admission and fee payment formalities, applicants will be required to sign an online declaration form certifying that the information provided by them is correct. In addition, a non-refundable cancellation fee of Rs 1,000 will be imposed during the admission process.
