Delhi University Announces First Selection List for Undergraduate Courses; LSR poles obtain a score of 100% for 3 routes

The admissions process will be fully online due to the coronavirus pandemic. The new session will start from November 18th.

The University of Delhi announced its first selection list for undergraduate admission on Saturday, with Lady Shri Ram College setting the score at 100% for three specialization courses.

Lady Shri Ram College For Women set a score of 100% for three courses for female applicants in the general category – BA (Hons) Economics, BA (Hons) Political Science and BA (Hons) Psychology.

The college also has the highest threshold among science courses. The college announced a threshold of 99.75% for admission to B.Sc (Hons) Statistics for general category students, while Hindu College set the score for the same course at 99.25%.

Hindu College has announced a threshold of 99.33% for the B.Sc (Hons) Physics.

Among the BA program combinations, applicants must have a minimum of 99.25% to be admitted to a combination of Economics and Political Science at LSR College, the highest of all the combinations.

It was in 2015 that the College of Vocational Studies and the Indraprastha College for Women had set their threshold at 100% for the computer science program for general category students.

Last year, Hindu College achieved the highest score of 99% for honors in political science. LSR College came in second with a threshold of 98.75% for the bachelor’s degree program and specializations in psychology.

At 98.3%, Hindu College also had the highest threshold for honors in physics.

Almost 70,000 undergraduate places are up for grabs with the admission process starting October 12. University officials had said the thresholds would be higher this year due to the increased number of students scoring over 90% on board exams.
