Delhi University starts first semester courses for undergraduate courses from today; check details here

Classes for the first batch of Undergraduate (UG) courses at the University of Delhi (DU) started today, November 22. The exam for this batch is expected to take place in March-April 2022. Students will be allowed to take a nine-day preparatory break for the same from March 11-20 next year.

Students should note that the university will resume classes via the online mode only. However, the university will only make the decision to deliver courses at 100% capacity after approval from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

Second semester students can take classes from April 7th. The exams will take place from August 5 to 22, 2022. The University will start the next academic session for UG students from August 26, 2022.

Many colleges affiliated with the renowned university will likely hold an orientation session to familiarize the new batch with their respective institutions and departments. Students should be aware that the colleges will be arranging the orientation to take place online and that the classes will also be held virtually. Some colleges such as Gargi College, Ramanujan College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, and Indraprastha College For Women will be holding their Orientation Days today.

In accordance with the academic calendar published by the DU, courses for postgraduate students (PG) will start on December 1.

The first semester exams for PG students will take place from March 30 to April 12 of next year. The practical exams will take place between March 20 and March 29, 2022.

The first admission merit list for PG 2021 was released by the University on November 17, and the admissions center closed on November 21. The university will soon publish two more merit lists for admission to the PG.

Students can download the DU PG 2021 merit list by following these steps:

  • Visit the official website – https://admission.uod.ac.in/
  • Go to the ‘Admission 2021’ portal and select ‘DU PG Admission 2021’
  • Another page will open. Click on the link “PG 2021 Merit List”
  • View and download the Admission Merit List
  • Students are advised to print the DU PG Merit List for future reference

The admission process for DU 2021-22 is ongoing and over 68,000 students have been admitted to undergraduate courses.
