DU Executive Council Approves First Semester Program for Four-Year Undergraduate Courses

DU Undergraduate Programme: The Executive Council of the University of Delhi has approved the first semester syllabus of the 72 four-year undergraduate programs (FYUP). The curriculum approved by the DU Executive Council is based on the newly introduced Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF) 2022, which was formulated based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

According to the official statement, the new program will be implemented by the University of Delhi from the academic year 2022-23. The program was submitted for approval to the Executive Council after the Academic Council approved it on August 3, 2022.

UG’s 72 programs in diverse disciplines include B.Sc (Honours) Biomedical Science, B.Sc (Honours) Microbiology, B.Sc (Honours) Instrumentation, BA (Honours) Applied Psychology, BA (Honours) Multi- Media and Mass Communication, Bachelor of Management Studies, among many others.

Apart from this, 24 value-added courses have also been accredited for the first semester of FYUP. The ability enhancement course includes an environmental science course and nearly 22 Indian language programs that will allow students to decide on their language of choice. Students will also be required to take a value-added course, which incorporates curricula such as Constitutional Values ​​and Fundamental Duties, Indian System of Knowledge, Yoga and Philosophy, etc.

Internal Evaluation System in Distance Learning Programs

According to PTI, DU has also announced its intention to introduce an internal evaluation system in distance education programs from the current academic session 2022-23. Until now, the internal evaluation system only applied to regular programs and did not apply to the School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education.

DU UG Admission 2022: Application process set to begin soon

he admission procedure for the undergraduate courses at the University of Delhi (DU) is expected to start very soon. According to media reports, Delhi University has advised students to ensure that their documents and certificates are ready for DU admissions before the end of this month. As of now, the university has not announced any definitive date and time for the start of the admissions process. Earlier, announcements were made that this time admissions would be delayed due to the postponement of the CUET UG exam. It is expected that DU admissions will take place next month.
