The University of MapÃºa has launched fully online equivalents of some of its bachelor’s degree programs, enabling students from any region of the country to acquire a top-notch engineering and information technology degree.
Through MapÃºa Digital Academics (MDA), students can enroll in one of six fully online bachelor’s programs in computer engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, and information technology.
During a press briefing, the President and CEO of the University of MapÃºa, Dr Reynaldo B. Vea, explained that the fully online bachelor’s programs offer students a great deal of academic latitude, as the programs adapt to their own pace, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
With this initiative, the university aims to strengthen its leadership in providing online education to reach more students locally and globally through the online learning space.
The fully online programs will be delivered in a modular system where students can study their courses at their own pace.
This setup is ideal for working, overseas-based students and those residing outside of Metro Manila who wish to acquire a quality MapÃºa education.
MapÃºa also noted that enrolling in a fully online program will reduce costs for students, as it will reduce some miscellaneous fees and costs associated with studies such as transportation, accommodation, and stipends.
In addition to the modules, MapÃºa will also use various learning tools including the Coursera, Wiley and Cengage e-textbooks, McGraw-Hill Connect and Aleks and Labster, among others, on its own Cardinal EDGE platform.
MapÃºa also guarantees that students in these fully online programs will get the same quality of education as those enrolled in regular programs, as both will use the same programs, course outcomes and modules, grading system, academic policies and conditions of study. admission and graduation.
