The X Sound concert presents the compositions of Maryzelle Ungo: ((// Sun || Moon)) and Maisha Lani: The Wolf, Space, Seaplanes, Blaze, Empress, River and Silk.

Maryzelle Ungo’s first love was the drums and since then she has been in many bands as a drummer. She has toured the coast as a garage rock, psychedelic and ambient musician. After earning her Bachelor of Music degree, she studied percussion at Mills College. While studying music at university, she also received her 200 RH training as a yoga teacher and worked as a yoga assistant at the university. From there she truly blossomed in her love of healing through music and movement. In addition to drumming and growing spiritually, she tapped into her mission as a divine goddess as a sound therapist. Over the past two years, she has animated and created sound baths with quartz crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, electric guitar, African drums, gongs, electronics, bells, whistles, divinity and love.

Maisha Lani is a singer, guitarist and songwriter influenced by nature, storytelling, awareness and the idea that music lives within us, ready to surface at our slightest call.
