Nine receive undergraduate research scholarship

This fall, the University of Georgia recognized nine undergraduate students in its new promotion for 2020-2021 as CURO Honors Scholars, the best undergraduate research scholarship in the university.

UGA Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center promotes faculty-supervised research opportunities for UGA undergraduates. In close collaboration with UGA faculty members, CURO Honors Scholars are able to conduct research in any field of study at the university.

CURO Honors Fellows receive annual funding of $ 3,000 renewable for up to four years; benefit from mentorship and community support; and attend seminars, workshops, events and special activities.

In addition to the CURO Honors Scholarship, the Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities offers a variety of research opportunities to all UGA undergraduates, including CURO Research Assistants and the CURO Summer Scholarship as well. than CURO research courses. All CURO students have the opportunity to present their research results at the CURO Annual Symposium.

Since CURO’s inception in the late 1990s, every UGA recipient of a major nationwide scholarship, such as Rhodes, Marshall, Truman, Udall and Goldwater, has participated in CURO in some way. ‘another one.
