The College’s undergraduate admission criteria, in accordance with the UAE Admissions Policy, include: a high school certificate with a GPA of 80 and the required score in the English, Mathematics and of Arabic language on the EMSAT test. The student will be conditionally admitted even if he does not obtain the required score in Arabic and Mathematics. So that the student can achieve the required result in one semester.

The undergraduate curriculum includes three programs: a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Health and Physical Education, and a Bachelor of Education in Special Education. The Bachelor of Special Education program includes four concentrations: Mild and Moderate Disabilities, Gifted and Talented, Sensory Disabilities, and Severe Disabilities.

The Department of Special Education offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education and a Master of Education in Special Education, a dual Master of Education in Special Education program with the Hong Kong University of Education, and an accelerated BEd program -MEd in special education (4+1).

The Department of Educational Foundations offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Educational Policy, a Master of Educational Innovation (School Leadership), a Master of Education in Educational Leadership, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership as a dual program with the Hong Kong University of Education.

For admission criteria for the Master’s program, the minimum admission requirements are as follows: Bachelor’s degree in a major or related field, from an accredited university recognized by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education, with a minimum average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 or its equivalent. In addition, a minimum score of 6.0 on the IELTS academic test or its equivalent for all majors taught primarily in English.

Applicant with a bachelor’s degree recognized by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research may be conditionally admitted to a master’s degree program if they have an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent.

The candidate must meet the conditions during the period of conditional admission under penalty of dismissal. Applicant must have achieved a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent by the end of the student’s first semester. Student may take a maximum of six (6) credit hours in the first semester, excluding Intensive English courses, A minimum IELTS score of 4.0, or its equivalent, is required for admission to a program degree in which Arabic is the language of instruction. .

For admission criteria for the doctoral program, the minimum requirements for admission are: A master’s degree in a discipline or related field from an accredited university recognized by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education, with a cumulative average of at least 3.0 on Scale 4.0 or equivalent. The candidate must also have a score of 6.5 or higher on the IELTS academic test or equivalent for all disciplines in which the main language of instruction is English or the thesis must be written in English.

The student’s English test result must be less than two years old at the time of application, with the following exceptions: two letters of recommendation from professionals in the student’s academic field, a copy of the applicant’s CV, and a declaration of the candidate’s research experience. and written interests in the official language of instruction of the program.
