A day after the University of Mumbai released the first merit list for undergraduate courses, it reopened the pre-admission registration link for interested students. This was done in order to accommodate students who were unable to participate in the admissions process due to the ongoing foreclosure or issues with the internet over the past few days caused by relentless rains across the state, have said university officials.
âThe university remains firm on its motto that no student should be deprived of education, and with the current situation, students have complained that they cannot apply for admission for various reasons. These students can now complete the process, âsaid a spokesperson for the university.
In a circular published on Friday, the university said that this registration link would remain functional from August 7 to 14 at 6 p.m.
MU further clarifies that students who register for admissions in the current phase will not be eligible for entry into the upcoming second and third merit lists, but will instead be eligible for admissions after the publication of the three. merit lists after August 21, âthe August 7 circular said.
The first merit list for admissions to various undergraduate courses at colleges affiliated with the University of Mumbai was announced on August 6 and, once again, the thresholds remained higher. The second merit list is expected to be released on August 11 while the third list will be released on August 17 of this year.
In view of the current situation, the university has asked students to submit a declaration form with their pre-admission registration form to the designated college in order to confirm their admission. Colleges, in turn, were asked to give provisional admission to the certificate and confirm the same after the student submitted a hard copy of the grade sheet and all other necessary documents afterwards.
Students can log into mum.digitaluniversity.ac for pre-registration online.
